Redpath Australia is seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team at our Norseman, WA operations.
This is a key site-based role responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and implementing health, safety, and training requirements across the project while ensuring compliance with legislative, client, and Redpath standards. The successful candidate will be a safety leader who promotes a strong safety culture and supports operational teams to achieve outstanding safety outcomes

About the Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will work closely with site leadership and operational teams to drive continuous improvement in safety performance, training compliance, risk management, and workforce development.
You will be instrumental in ensuring all employees return home safely by supporting safe work practices, conducting investigations, delivering training, and maintaining compliance with all project safety systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support all site health, safety, and training activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Redpath, client, and legislative requirements.
  • Coordinate and participate in workplace inspections and safety audits.
  • Facilitate risk assessments, JSAs, and hazard management processes.
  • Prepare and deliver toolbox talks and safety meetings.
  • Develop and implement training programs and workforce competency initiatives.
  • Maintain training records and compliance documentation.
  • Conduct incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and reporting.
  • Assist with injury management, rehabilitation, and return-to-work programs.
  • Provide advice and guidance on workplace health and safety legislation and best practice.
  • Monitor safety performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support a positive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and visible leadership.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within mining, construction, or heavy industry.
  • Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent).
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (highly regarded).
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification.
  • Working at Heights qualification.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, incident investigations, and safety systems.
  • ICAM Investigation qualification (desirable).
  • Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator experience or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • A genuine commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
  • Current Manual Driver's Licence.
